The online option provides the best of both worlds — offering the core requirements online as well as a combined set of concentration courses online, featuring the best of events, tourism, hospitality and sport management, while also giving students the option of taking electives that support career goals either online or in-person. The program also offers options for international study-abroad programs.
How the Program Works
Courses are designed in an interactive format and recorded in a state-of-the-art studio, incorporating multi-media lectures and recorded interviews with industry professionals. MTA candidates can conveniently watch course lectures on their own time via the Blackboard platform. Recorded lectures may also be downloaded to a variety of devices to watch or listen to on the go. Weekly simultaneous discussion sessions with faculty and classmates allow personal connections and interaction.
Tests, assignments and communications for the program are managed virtually through the Blackboard learning management system.
All MTA candidates are invited to attend an orientation session on campus at the beginning of the program. This orientation is highly encouraged as it provides an opportunity to meet with faculty, peers, and administrators in person and to tour the campus.
