Maximize Your ROI: Customize Your Degree Path
- Dual Degree Opportunity: MBA + Specialized Master's
Students looking to customize an MBA program on a larger scale can pursue multiple joint or dual degree options within not only the School of Business but also the GW Law School and Elliott School of International Affairs. Complement your MBA with a specialized masters.
By sharing some credits, students spend less time and less money than they would if the degrees were earned individually. Students are required to apply to both programs separately.
- Graduate Certificates: Deepen Your Knowledge at No Additional Cost
Tailor your MBA to your professional goals by adding a graduate certificate that builds specialized expertise alongside your core business education. These stackable certificates allow you to deepen your knowledge in a focused area while completing your MBA coursework—at no additional credit cost.

Conveniently, GW Business is easily accessible from the Orange, Blue, and Silver Metro lines, making it easy to get from daytime responsibilities to evening classrooms.
Maximum Potential + Flexibility
By studying part-time, you can pursue both your professional and personal goals. In weeknight classes, learn from faculty shaping global business and policy—then bring fresh insights to work the very next day. Group projects and collaborative work provide opportunities to exchange ideas with peers from a broad swath of industries and cultures. Those new perspectives may be just what you need to reframe that deliverable at work that’s got you stuck.
And because it’s built for flexibility, you can adjust your pace as life evolves—whether that means taking on more courses during slower periods or stepping back when priorities shift, such as a wedding, job promotion or changes in family dynamics. It’s an MBA designed to fit your everyday life, not disrupt it.
As somebody that's already working, I'm not looking to learn from a textbook how business could be performed. I want to know how this is going to complement the skills that I have now and how I might use these things going forward. I chose the Flex MBA program at GW Business because it was a great fit for my lifestyle and my goals.

International Connections, Hands-On Experience
Elevate your MBA education with GW’s short-term study away program (STAP), where you’ll engage with real-world challenges alongside global partners. These international experiences are offered a few times a year and range from five days to six weeks, making it possible to find a STAP that fits your schedule.
While abroad, connect with international peers, business leaders and fellow GW students across programs—expanding your network on a global scale.
GW Business students recently went behind the scenes of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milan, explored entrepreneurship in emerging markets in Morocco and dug into sustainability in Scandinavia. Students have also chosen to stay local and explore the unique complexities of D.C. through the Business & Society Series. However you choose to participate, a STAP will broaden your perspective and strengthen your global business acumen.
