Diversity and Allyship Week at the George Washington University School of Business both celebrates and reflects on the diversity, inclusivity and equity that we are committed to — and that we strive for — as a community. We are proud to host this annual series of events that have been organized with the goal of cultivating dialogue and increasing awareness about the vital importance of ensuring that DEI is foundational to the development of institutions in our society, from academia to the public, private and nonprofit business sectors. Diversity and Allyship Week is hosted by the Dean’s Diversity Council and the F. David Fowler Career Center.

Diversity Roundtable Breakfast

This is an opportunity for networking in small groups with organizations to learn about their Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives, company culture, and future recruiting programs. The Women in Global Careers Roundtable for engaging discussions and networking opportunities with executives who have worked around the world representing a range of backgrounds and roles. The Roundtable will offer the opportunity for personal discussions regarding industry, positions and guidance on how women can excel in their chosen fields and the global arena. Attendees will come away from the event armed with top tips and empowered to pursue a global career.

All GW students are invited to attend. This event is organized by the GW Center for International Business Education and Research (GW-CIBER), GW Women in Business (GWWIB), the GW Women's MBA Association (WMBAA), and the GW Forté Fellows.

This special George Talks Business event welcomes Sharifa A. Anderson, senior vice president and chief diversity and inclusion (D&I) officer at Fannie Mae, and will be moderated by Vanessa G. Perry, M.B.A., Ph.D., interim dean of the GW School of Business and professor of marketing, strategic management and public policy. Attendees will learn more about Fannie Mae, its role in the housing market, and equity in homeownership and housing finance.
