Stuart Levy, MBA, PhD, is an associate teaching professor of management at The George Washington University School of Business.  His teaching and consulting expertise involves team building, professional skill building, and customer experience evaluation. He teaches leadership, entrepreneurship, and event and hospitality management, all grounded in experiential learning methodologies. Prior to academia, he has held management positions in tour operating and digital marketing, and served as a consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers Global Hospitality and Leisure Practice. 

Professor Levy is passionate about experiential education. In 2013, he pioneered a mixed-method experiential approach and framework to evaluate customer experiences, and has since consulted with event, hospitality and tourism destination clients in the United States, Caribbean, Central and South America. He was featured in the 2022 EdInnovate Showcase (Scavenger HuntEd: Gamifying Place-Based Learning) for his leading-edge work in gamification and team building. 

He is one of 22 Harvard Business Publishing faculty advisors worldwide, offering guidance to faculty and business programs on business simulations, case studies, and professional skill building content. Professor Levy is proud to have been chosen to receive the 2024 Professional Convention Management Association's Lifetime Achievement Educator Award. He also received the Most Influential Faculty Member Award in 2021 for George Washington University’s New Venture Competition. 

Dr. Levy's record of scholarship includes over 35 refereed presentations and 12 peer-reviewed publications in business journals including the Cornell Hospitality Quarterly and Journal of Business Ethics. He is a member of the GWSB Teaching Excellence Task Force and the Dean’s Diversity Council. His volunteer work has involved co-founding JAM (Jews and Muslims) D.C., supporting GW Alternative Spring Break and GW Adventure Bound courses as a learning partner, and serving as treasurer of the DC-area alumni chapter of the Cornell Hotel School. Currently, he is a board member of EnventU and member of the DC Public Schools Hospitality and Tourism Industry Advisory Board.
