Salah Hassan, professor of marketing and brand management, recently appeared on Egyptian television as the featured guest on Al-Nahar TV’s Egypt Can program.
During the hour-long, in-depth interview, Dr. Hassan discussed his research and experience in “nation branding” and managing global markets, particularly in relation to their importance in increasing Egypt’s competitive edge in the tourism and investment-promotion sectors. He also spoke about his involvement in building nation-branding initiatives for Greenland, Denmark and Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Dr. Hassan has co-authored journal articles and spoken at conferences on nation branding for Mexico, Egypt, Australia, South Africa, Singapore and Spain. Students in his strategic brand management course have developed rebranding projects for Afghanistan, Ecuador, Colombia and the Yucatan region of Mexico.
