Academic Success Coaching
The Academic Success Coaching Program is a resource available to all GW Business students who may be experiencing academic challenges or could benefit from individualized support to reach their academic goals.
Meet with an Academic Success Coach to receive individualized support in areas such as college preparedness, creating academic goals, study skills, time management, identifying distractions, or other various challenges. Make an appointment to speak with your Academic Success Coach directly from the Advising Center scheduling page.
Tutoring & Academic Support Resources
Students are encouraged to take advantage of the numerous resources available to them on campus. If you’re not sure which office on campus would be best able to assist with a specific situation, simply contact a GW Business Academic Advisor and they will be glad to connect you with the right office.
Access Peer Tutoring, Review Sessions, Writing and Research Help, Study Spaces and much more!
The GW Writing Center provides writing instruction and tutoring for GW students at all levels of experience and expertise. Students are assisted in identifying writing problems and learning how best to express ideas. Tutors can help students get started on assignments such as case studies and analyses, research projects, presentations, cover letters and personal essays.
The Language Center, operated by the Columbian College of Arts & Scieces, supports language teaching, learning, and research for students and faculty, including "Everyday English" practice sessions for students who are learning English as a second or additional language.
This is a resource for students who may have challenges beyond their control that impact their learning. Examples of Accommodations Include: Alternative Formats, Assistive Technology, Classroom Accessibility, Housing Accessibility, Interpreting and Captioning Services and Test Proctoring Services.

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)
Students may reach out to the CAPS to overcome difficulties and challenges that may interfere with their academic, emotional, and personal success.
Students, parents, faculty, and staff can identify students that may need additional support through the CARE Team’s online form. Students are connected to resources through inter-departmental collaboration to provide them with appropriate and personalized outreach.
Students may use this tool to help them calculate their GPA at any time during the semester. If you are still uncertain of your GPA after using this tool, we encourage you to reach out to your professor.
