Jennifer C. Usis is an associate director of development in the Office of Development & Alumni Relations at the George Washington University School of Business (GWSB). Jennifer has several decades of higher education experience. She worked in both academic and student affairs at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA, including five years in residence life, eight years teaching business, and 12 years overseeing the business advising center. She also led the effort to create a culture of philanthropy and engagement with students transitioning from student to alumni. She has been a part of the Development & Alumni Relations family at GWSB for more than five years. She previously worked at GW's Graduate School of Education and Human Development, the College of Professional Studies, and the Graduate School of Political Management.  

She completed a bachelor's degree in international business and her first master's degree in higher education from Old Dominion University. She earned her second master's degree in strategic public relations from GW's Graduate School of Political Management. She is currently enrolled in GW's doctoral program for higher education administration with a dissertation focus on philanthropy in higher education, specifically focusing on endowments during global financial crises.
