GWSB Alum Receives Meeting Professionals International Award, Is Named Trendsetter by Meetings Today Magazine

Alex Plaxen, Master of Tourism Administration ’14, recently was honored by Meeting Professionals International (MPI), receiving the association’s 2018 RISE (Recognizing Industry Success and Excellence) Award for Young Professional Achievement. Mr. Plaxen also was named one of Meetings Today magazine’s “2018 Meetings Trendsetters.” Mr. Plaxen is the president and founder of Little Bird Told Media in Washington, D.C., where he coordinates executive-level meetings and events, and organizes data-driven event marketing campaigns.
