Faculty shared their expertise about management, performance, and workforce dynamics. Forbes featured Avram Tucker Distinguished Scholar and Professor of Management Herman Aguinis in their article “3 Ways to Combat the ‘Think Star, Think Men’ Gender Bias,” which explored Aguinis’s research on why top-performing women receive less recognition than men. Assistant Professor of Management Jungho Suh was cited in multiple stories on the aviation industry, including worker strikes and business model shifts, in outlets such as The Washington Post, ABC News, and CBS News.
The discussions within financial markets and real estate included the GW Business faculty. Rodney Lake, the Director of GW Investment Institute and Teaching Instructor of Finance, was quoted in NBC News and S&P Global on tariff impacts and market strategy. Dean Vanessa Perry and Chair of the Center for Real Estate and Urban Analysis (CREUA) Stephen O’Connor contributed their opinions regarding the effects of new rules in the industry and the wealth gap effect on homeownership.
Lisa Delpy Neirotti, associate professor of sport management and director of the M.S. in Sport Management Program, shared her take on the business of sport, specifically regarding the RFK Stadium investment and NFL growth, for outlets including Fox 5, NBC4 Washington, and The Washington Times.
Faculty were also sought for their experience and understanding of public and foreign policy. Professor Emeritus Howard Beales provided expert testimony to Congress before the Subcommittee on Innovation, Data, and Commerce. Scheherazade Rehman, the Director of the European Union Research Center (EURC) and Professor of International Business, was featured in an article regarding foreign policy. Vikram R. Bhargava, Assistant Professor of Strategic Management and Public Policy, was cited in a draft of a bill California Governor Newsom signed into law entitled “Protecting our Kids from Social Media Addiction Act” (SB976), detailing his publication describing the problems of social media addiction.
