Sandy Yi-Davis
Sandy Yi-Davis is an instructional assistant and seasoned hospitality industry professional at the George Washington University School of Business. She currently supports The Art and Practice of Business–Government Relations: Advocacy in the Events Industry, an immersive, experiential course led by Professor Stuart Levy, recipient of the 2024 PCMA Visionary Award. Designed as an “Only in DC” experience, the course offers students hands-on engagement in business advocacy through participation in the Exhibition and Conference Alliance’s (ECA) Legislative Action Day on Capitol Hill.
Sandy holds a Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Arizona and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. With more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality, meetings, and events industry, she has held leadership roles in hotel operations, food and beverage, catering, convention services, event design, and in the training and development of managers and staff.
Sandy is actively mentoring students and collaborates with industry partners such as the Exhibitions & Conference Alliance (ECA) and the US Travel Association to create meaningful experiential learning experiences. She is actively engaged in the industry through her service on the PCMA Capital Chapter Government Relations and Advocacy Committee and the MPI Potomac Chapter Education Development Committee, where she contributes to advancing professional education and public policy awareness within the events sector.
