Issued by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the SHRM Academic Alignment Program provides participants with a competitive advantage over peers, enabling students studying a Master's Degree in Human Resource Management to take the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) exam before finishing their degree. Additionally, the SHRM Recertification status indicates that GW is a provider of choice.

The curriculum prepares students to be experts in effectively managing human capital with knowledge of HR analytics, employee relations, organizational culture and performance and diversity management to drive change, be an effective leader and mitigate social and organizational dynamics. This program studies the theory and analysis of the latest human capital theories, challenging students to solve real-world scenarios.
