Emma Custis joined the George Washington University School of Business in April 2023 as a program associate for student leadership and engagement. Emma facilitates the instruction of the Business Leader Foundations courses within the Business Leader Development (BLD) program, as well as advises case competitions and student organizations.
Emma is a two-time alum of the University of Central Florida (UCF) where she earned her M.S. in Management concentrating on Integrated Business, as well as her B.A. in Anthropology and History. While at UCF, Emma served as the senate president of Student Government where she helped oversee a $20.7 million-dollar budget and met with Florida state legislators to advocate for the prioritization of higher-education initiatives. While in graduate school, Emma was chosen to speak at university-wide commencement ceremonies and completed assistantships within the Office of Civil Discourse & Engagement and College of Business Administration.
As an advocate for lifelong learning, Emma hopes to enroll in a doctoral program within the next few years. In her free time, Emma enjoys training for marathons, trying new cuisines, attempting to complete escape rooms, and playing Scrabble.
