Responsible AI Use Policies for GWSB - Draft for Feedback
Provided for your review are the draft Responsible AI Use Policies for GWSB. This document summarizes existing GW policies and is intended to serve as practical guidance and rules for our community. At the same time, we recognize that several areas would benefit from additional refinement, and we would especially welcome your perspectives on the following:
- Clarity of academic expectations: The current interplay between individual syllabus statements and the GW default “use but do not submit” framework can create a complex landscape for both faculty and students. We welcome your feedback on how these expectations affect classroom practice and how the policies might provide greater clarity for students while preserving academic integrity and instructor discretion.
- AI resource funding: Although the current policies on funding AI for classroom and research use are consistent with existing GW processes, we recognize that this approach is not sustainable for the needs of GWSB faculty. We are especially interested in faculty perspectives and usage patterns that can help inform a more practical funding model to support the integration of AI into business education and scholarship.
Your feedback is important to ensuring that these policies are both practical and forward-looking. Please review the draft and share any comments, concerns, or relevant data you would like us to consider in the form below.
Please provide feedback by June 1, 2026.
