Designed for Ph.D. students, postdocs and early career faculty, this workshop provides an opportunity to strengthen research papers for publication in premier academic journals while building the skills needed to navigate the publication and peer-review process.
The workshop is led by current and past members of the OMT Division Executive Committee, as well as past and current editors and editorial board members of journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Administrative Science Quarterly, Organization Science, Organization Studies, Organization Theory, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Business Venturing and Strategic Organization.
Participants will receive constructive feedback from mentors and peers with similar research interests and learn how editors and reviewers evaluate manuscripts. The agenda will feature panels on publishing and navigating the review process, along with one-on-one feedback sessions that pair authors with mentors for developmental feedback on their working papers. Through the workshop, scholars will gain practical strategies for refining their papers, responding to feedback, and increasing their chances of receiving an invitation to revise and resubmit.
- The workshop is open to young scholars conducting research on both micro- and macro-level topics within organizations broadly defined.
- There is no fee to attend, although participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses.
- The event will close with a reception overlooking the Washington Monument and the National Mall.
