Vontrese (“Voni”) Pamphile, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Strategic Management and Public Policy at the George Washington University School of Business. She is a scholar of organization theory, with a focus on social issues and business-society tensions. At George Washington University, she teaches core courses on business ethics and public policy to undergraduate and MBA students. She is consistently one of the highest-rated professors and was named a Poets & Quants Top 40 Under 40 MBA Professor.
Dr. Pamphile’s research has been published in leading journals including the Academy of Management Journal and Organization Science, and recognized with awards such as Best Practical Impact and Most Innovative Paper. Her insights have also been featured in practitioner outlets like Harvard Business Review and a policy brief, helping leaders translate research into practical action.
Before academia, Pamphile served as Executive Director of a nonprofit focused on college access and as an AmeriCorps member, experiences that shaped her commitment to building organizations that balance commercial success with societal good. She holds a dual PhD in Management and Organizations and Sociology from Northwestern University and a BA from the University of Michigan.
