Dear GW Business Community,
The weeks following Spring Break are always busy for the GWSB community as the end of the school year draws near. On April 2, we will host the second annual GW Business & Policy Forum which will feature an impressive set of business and policy influencers sharing their insights about the future of artificial intelligence. As you may know, the Forum was launched in 2023 as a way to grapple with important issues at the cross-section of industry and public policy.
I’m thankful to the partners who are sponsoring the Forum:
- Dell Technologies
- Mosaic Insurance
- Business Management Associates
- Chief Outsiders
- Bright MLS
- GDIT
- KPMG
- Penn West Equity and Innovation District
Our speakers are representing companies in the tech sector such as Google, IBM, SAIC, and CalypsoAI, advocacy organizations, such as the Consumer Technology Association, the National Fair Housing Alliance, and policymaking agencies including the National Science Foundation and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and a number of other companies and organizations with an interest and influence in AI and its impact on our collective future. Sessions will focus on AI and public policy in global business, healthcare, cybersecurity, real estate, financial services, and in the public sector.
I invite you to register to join us. All faculty, staff and students can register for free, and for specific sessions. In addition to the sessions, the Forum will have networking opportunities, open to all registrants. We anticipate that this year’s Forum will deliver exceptional thought leadership and outcomes, and on the shared experiences and engagement that are distinctive to GW’s location and convening capacity here in the nation’s capital.
GW Giving Day, April 3-4
Following the Forum will be GW Giving Day on April 3 through April 4. This 24-hour annual event asks all our GW community members to come together to support our university. Every amount of support can make a positive difference, from student scholarships and financial aid to faculty research and initiatives. Giving Day 2024 will be held from noon on April 3, until noon on April 4. Visit our GWSB Giving Day page to make a gift and to share with your network. Learn more about how you can get involved as an advocate.
