The George Washington University School of Business community mourns the recent passing of Jackie Fowler, wife of David Fowler, dean of the GW School of Business and Public Management (now GWSB) from 1992 through 1997. Mrs. Fowler is survived by her husband, their sons Kenneth and David, and six grandchildren.
They were married in 1955, following Mr. Fowler’s graduation from the University of Missouri. Prior to coming to GW, Mr. Fowler’s 33-year career at KPMG took the couple to corporate postings across the U.S. and around the world.
At the School of Business, Mrs. Fowler is remembered as a warm and gracious host at events for alumni, faculty, students and staff, where she made each guest feel welcomed and valued. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Dean Fowler started the first career services office at the School of Business, the Graduate Career Center, which was the precursor to today’s F. David Fowler Career Center.
Requiescat in pace.
