Faculty and Staff Receive 2019 Dean’s Awards for Excellence

Dean Anuj Mehrotra announced the winners of the 2019 Dean’s Awards for Excellence at a joint faculty-staff meeting last Friday. The winners were nominated for the honors by their GWSB colleagues, in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the school. Congratulations to all the winners!

Emerging Scholar Award

  • Young Ki Park, assistant professor of ISTM

Senior Faculty Research Award

  • Herman Aguinis, Avram Tucker Distinguished Scholar; professor of management

Teaching Award for Teaching Faculty

Faculty Service Award

  • James Bailey, Hochberg Professorial Fellow of Leadership Development; professor of management

Staff Service Award

  • Mirasol Espanola, executive director, undergraduate programs and advising

External Engagement Award

  • Danny Leipziger, managing director of Growth Dialogue; professor of practice of international business
  • Scheherazade Rehman, director, European Union Research Center; GW Deans Professorial Fellow of International Finance; professor of international affairs; professor of international business

Outstanding Contributions to GWSB as Faculty Director for the Master of Accountancy

  • Susan Kulp, director, Master of Accountancy program; professor of accountancy

Outstanding Contributions to GWSB as Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs

  • Leo Moersen, associate dean for undergraduate programs; professor of accountancy and business law

In addition, Amy Kasmir, special assistant to the dean, was singled out for recognition for coming up with the title for GWSB’s highly successful webcast interview program, “George Talks Business.”
