September 17, 2018

GWSB Dean Anuj Mehrotra last week announced a number of organizational changes for the school, including the appointment of two new associate deans.

Vanessa G. Perry, professor of marketing, has been appointed associate dean for faculty, taking over for Vice Dean James B. Wade, Avram S. Tucker Endowed Professor in Strategy & Leadership, who has decided to step down from the position. Liesl Riddle, associate professor of international business, has been appointed associate dean of graduate programs, a position in which Denis F. Cioffi, associate professor of decision sciences, had been serving in an interim capacity. Drs. Perry and Riddle will serve as interim associate deans until their appointments are confirmed by a formal faculty vote. Jeff Hunter, who joined GWSB as the assistant dean of graduate recruitment and admissions on September 4, will report to Dr. Riddle.

“I am honored and excited about the opportunity to serve the school as an advocate for my faculty colleagues and to tell the story of their impressive accomplishments,” Dr. Perry said. “I am very fortunate to work with GWSB’s innovative team of faculty, staff and alumni to develop programs to engage, inspire, and empower our amazing students,” said Dr. Riddle.

Dean Mehrotra thanked Drs. Cioffi and Wade for “tremendous contributions during the school’s recent period of transition,” adding that he looked forward to working with Drs. Perry and Riddle in their new capacities. In addition, Dean Mehrotra announced that going forward, GWSB Director of Finance Diana Paulraj would assume responsibility for overseeing the facilities, operations and IT offices at the school. “We will continue to look at other opportunities of realigning and restructuring for optimal performance,” Dean Mehrotra said.
