John Frechette
John Frechette is an adjunct instructor of management at the George Washington University School of Business in Washington, D.C.
John is the Founder and CEO of Sourced Economics, an economic research firm specializing in supply chain management, corporate strategy, and financial planning. His team has supported Fortune 500 clients such as Coca-Cola, Kimberly-Clark, and Smithfield Foods on market research, pricing, demand forecasting, and investment strategy.
He is also the Co-Founder and CEO of Moara.io, a venture-backed SaaS company that uses artificial intelligence to transform the way scholars and R&D teams conduct academic literature reviews. The platform is used by researchers at institutions including MIT, Yale, and Ohio State, as well as organizations such as the World Bank and Walmart.
Before launching his own ventures, John worked at Ernst & Young (EY) in the Risk Advisory and Emerging Technologies practices. He led blockchain and digital transformation projects across Europe, with a focus on supply chains, sustainability, and decentralized governance. His global work has involved teams in Austria, France, Germany, India, and the United Kingdom.
John also writes The Research Pulse, a newsletter covering developments in economics and management science, and hosts the podcast Economics of Strategy, which features conversations with business and academic leaders on emerging trends in strategy and innovation.
He holds a Master of Arts in Economics from American University and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Bridgewater State University.
