GW Office of Innovation & Entrepreneurship
Committed to promoting excellence in multidisciplinary entrepreneurship and innovation, the GW Office of Innovation & Entrepreneurship coordinates entrepreneurship events throughout the university. The office also plays an important role in the planning and execution of the GW Business Plan Competition.
Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE)
NFTE endeavors to provide programs that inspire young people from low-income communities to stay in school, to recognize business opportunities, and to plan for successful futures. To date, NFTE has worked with over 500,000 young people throughout the U.S. and around the world.
The George Washington University School of Business
The Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence is located within the School of Business’s Department of Management in Funger Hall, Suite 315. Many events are coordinated through GWSB, as well as held on the George Washington University’s Foggy Bottom Campus.
Springboard Enterprises
A non-profit organization dedicated to entrepreneurship, Springboard Enterprises often hosts events on GW’s Foggy Bottom Campus. The popular Dolphin Tank program continues to be a source of supportive innovation for budding entrepreneurs.

Howard Hoffman Fund
As a George Washington University School of Business alumnus, Howard Hoffman has dedicated a fund to promoting entrepreneurship on campus. The Howard Hoffman Distinguished Lecture Series hosts successful entrepreneurs and small business owners as speakers throughout each semester in order to generate reflection and discussion on entrepreneurship.
Erik K. Winslow and Deana and Gerald Stempler Research Fund
Dr. Erik K. Winslow, Director of CFEE, and Dr. Gerald Stempler (DBA ’88) provide support for research in family and/or entrepreneurial enterprises. Dr. Stempler established the endowment fund in 1992; in 2006, he gave a gift to rename the fund in honor of Dr. Winslow.
