The George Washington University School of Business (GWSB) is offering a 20% tuition discount to former federal workers and contractors interested in pursuing an advanced degree. This benefit was created with the intention of including government contractors, to help ease their career transitions.

Qualified applicants must complete an admissions application by June 1, 2025, including proof of dismissal from federal civil service employment or from an organization contracted to provide services to the federal government. Please upload this documentation as part of the resume required in your application. The benefit applies to workers who were laid off since January 1, 2025, and lasts for the entirety of the time the student is in the program to which they applied.

In addition, we are waiving the application fee for those applying to start a master’s degree in the 2025-2026 academic year. To receive an application fee waiver, complete the request form here. Once submitted, you will receive an email with instructions on how to apply your fee waiver code.
