Message From the Dean — February 2022

February 28, 2022

Dear GWSB Community,

As we kick off March, with the warming weather we have more opportunities to connect outdoors and enjoy our beautiful city. I am looking forward to seeing you at in-person events within the school and around campus as well as at some of the excellent virtual sessions in the coming weeks!

On March 8 we will celebrate International Women’s Day. At GWSB, we recognize women cultivating impactful change through the leadership of our students, faculty, staff, and alumni all year round. Let’s kick off the month by sharing some highlights that make us #GWSBproud:

  • #1 for Percentage of Women Enrolled in Full-Time MBA Program: GWSB received recognition from the Financial Times 2022 MBA Top 100 ranking. In addition to placing #1 among U.S. institutions.  GWSB was among only nine institutions in the top 100 with more than 50% women enrolled in the full-time MBA program and the only other U.S. institution with majority women in their class was the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
  • Women that Build Award Winners: On March 8 we will celebrate International Women's Day with a special George Talks Business program featuring award winning women in business and technology. Join Vice Dean for Strategy, Liesl Riddle, Ph.D. for the virtual conversation with these inspiring women.
  • GW Women in Business Networking: Register to participate in a networking event for women hosted by GW Women in Business (GWWIB) on March 8. Tickets are also now available for the GWWIB Spring Conference on April 2. The one day conference features distinguished speakers and workshops.
