The GWSB: Digital Community leverages our Washington, DC campus location and alumni assets in innovative and unprecedented ways to bring a sense of community to students, faculty, and alumni. Every aspect of our online programs has been designed to embed you in this remarkable city.

Located in the heart of Washington DC, GWSB has forged many strong relationships with the local business community and with vital government agencies and non-governmental institutions, such as the US Department of State, the US Department of Treasury, the US Agency for International Development (USAID), the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, and the US Congress. Our students engage with these organizations in a variety of ways, including site visits, class projects, and guest speakers. We have incorporated all of these resources and relationships into our digital programs as well. We have included thought leaders and practitioners from the DC area as guest speakers and course facilitators. This combines both the academic and the functional business knowledge in our programs.

GWSB is fortunate to have a distinguished global alumni network with more than 60,000 graduates scattered throughout the globe. In several countries, such as South Korea and Turkey, GWSB alumni have organized themselves into clubs with regular event programming and local mentor networks. These programs enable alumni to share their experience and expertise with students in GWSB: Digital Community programs.

Our global community of alumni and partners also are integrated into curricular features, such as video cases, and in co-curricular programming, including the heralded 1+1 Mentor Program. We believe in strengthening the bonds between our campus-based community and alumni around the globe, and we strive to make those connections both plentiful and useful for GWSB: Digital Community students.
