Department of International Business

We pride ourselves on our dedication to our undergraduate, MBA and PhD programs, as well as our commitment to engaging in cutting-edge research on a range of international business topics.

US News & World Report recently published its list of 2015’s Best Colleges and 2016’s Best Graduate Schools and ranked George Washington University’s undergraduate program in International Business at #10 and the graduate program in International Business at #15. The Financial Times also ranked the school #5 in the world for International Business in 2015. GW also hosts a Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER), providing extensive resources for international business research, teaching, and outreach on our campus and beyond.

The multidisciplinary makeup of our department gives us the opportunity to provide unique insight by combining disciplinary lenses to perform research on pressing topics in international business.

Our location in the heart of the nation’s capital, minutes from the World Bank and International Monetary Fund, offers distinctive advantages for both students who wish to gain practical experience and faculty who wish to perform academic research that has global implications.
