Transfer Credit Faculty Contacts

Undergraduate students who wish to take courses outside of GW must receive prior approval in order to transfer the credits. The appropriate GW academic department must specify a GW equivalent course and your Advising Office and/or Dean's Office must approve the taking of the course for the transfer of academic credit.

Instructions for Transfer Credit Approval

  1. Fill out the Transfer Credit Approval form with information from the other university.
  2. Send the form along with a course description or syllabus to the appropriate GW academic department (contacts below).
  3. The academic department contact will review the course information, indicate a GW course equivalent, and sign the form. The indication of the GW course equivalent is at the discretion of the academic department contact.
  4. Once signed, the student should return the form to their home school advising center. GWSB students will return the form to the GWSB Advising Center in Duques 456.
