Simon Boylen is a visiting assistant professor of International Business at the George Washington University School of Business. His specialty is the management of cross-cultural communications and overcoming the obstacles that inevitably arise in international business transactions. His goal at the university is to equip students with analytical skills they can use to solve international business problems.

Simon’s professional experience includes fifteen years of market research, industry analysis and business development for Australian companies entering the U.S. market. His clients have included aerospace manufacturers, engineering companies, and international project management companies. He helped his clients find partners and customers, made sure they were compliant with local regulations, and helped them work through contractual disputes.

Simon has taught international business classes to graduate and undergraduate students at the George Washington University, George Mason University, Johns Hopkins University, and the Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies. His classes use a mix of workshops, group exercises, case analysis, lecture, and term projects to help students express themselves in class and through their assignments.

He has a Master of Science in Marketing from Johns Hopkins University.
