As the GW School of Business (GWSB) kicks of the 2019-2020 academic year, the school welcomes thirteen new professors to its faculty. The addition of these professors expands the wealth of knowledge, diversity and thought leadership in both practice and research in areas including accountancy, decision sciences, international business, information systems and technology management, marketing, tourism, and strategic management and public policy.
Visiting Assistant Professor of Management and Tourism Studies
Linda's areas of interest include sustainability, performance indicators and benchmarking for communities and businesses in areas impacted by tourism as well as public policy, taxation and tax evasion, especially as they apply to governance, conservation and tourism.
She has researched child sex tourism and has authored a book on the local impacts of the global all-inclusive resort industry. She has experience teaching management accounting and financial accounting as well as finance both at the undergraduate and Master's level. She has also taught tourism, public policy and hospitality.
She received her Master's in International Business from the University of Paris IX-Dauphine in Paris, France, and her Ph.D. in Management from the University of Calgary in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
