Cynthia Ward is the Director of Employer Development and Relations at the F. David Fowler Career Center. Cynthia’s team’s focus is to develop relationships with employers and bring those employers to campus to recruit George Washington University School of Business undergraduate and graduate students. Though new to GW and the FDFCC team, Cynthia established a network of employers; local, national and international; in a prior role where she helped connect outplacement candidates at the global outplacement firm, Lee Hecht Harrison (LHH). Cynthia is a consummate networker and has a passion for helping others to gauge themselves and their skillsets in the context of market needs.
Cynthia leads a team of four Employer Development Consultants (EDC) in the Washington metropolitan area and New York. She also manages the three-person Employer Relations team that is focused on managing employers once the relationship is established by the EDCs. This team is also responsible for maintaining and reporting all statistics for the FDFCC internally and to multiple, external reporting agencies. Cynthia and her team are quite busy developing relationships that align with student targets lists in the undergraduate program, GMBA and the specialized Master’s in Business programs.
In addition to working for LHH, Cynthia has been a government contractor and held several marketing and business development roles in the telecommunications industry. Cynthia holds two degrees offered by GWSB, MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BBA from Temple University.
