Georgetwon Stock Pitch Conference

GWSB has been invited to send a team to the 2nd annual Georgetown Stock Pitch Conference (GSPC) at Georgetown University. GSPC is an intercollegiate competition in which teams of students present a stock pitch to a panel of financial professionals from top financial services firms. The competition is an excellent learning experience: students will learn to apply their skills in a competitive, real-world environment that requires teamwork for success. The conference will take place on April 2, 2011 from 12:30pm to 7:00pm at the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business.

GW will be able to send one team of two to four undergraduate students to the GSPC. Interviews for team members will be conducted the first week of the spring semester. Interested students should e-mail The Office of Undergraduate Programs will follow up with interested students in January to schedule interview times.

$50 to Collect Data at Military Bowl Game Dec. 29th

The Military Bowl held at RFK Stadium December 29, 2010 between UMD and East Carolina State has commissioned GW to conduct an economic impact study.

We are hiring 10 students to help collect and enter data.

You will be paid $50 for 50 surveys collected and entered on surveymonkey and also have a credential to watch the Game. The majority of data collection will be collected between 10:30am-2:30pm during the tailgate party before the Game that starts at 2:30pm.

I could also use 1-2 people to collect surveys on December 28, 2010 at either of the host hotels (Mayflower & Marriott Rennaisance).

WHU's European Bachelor Summer Institute

We are proud to announce WHU’s 3rd European Bachelor Summer Institute “The Business, Political and Cultural Environment in Europe”

May 29 – June 10, 2011

Particularities of the program will be the visits to one of Germany’s major international companies and to either the European Central Bank or the German Central Bank.

Tuition Fee
There is a tuition fee of 1.749 € which includes housing in single apartments, course materials, a common airport shuttle (on Sunday, May 29 and Saturday, June 11 in the morning), a welcome reception, lunches, field trips, socials, a two-week local bus ticket and a farewell dinner. Upon registration the fee is paid per credit card online with our partner PayPal. After having received the registration forms I will provide you with login and password information to proceed to the payment website. Further instructions on the website will help to go through the payment procedure.

The Andrew Stergiopoulos Foundation, in collaboration with the faculty and administration of George Washington University, is currently accepting application for the 2011 Andrew Stergiopoulos Scholarship Awards. Each year, the Awards are given to students in the sophomore and junior classes of the GW Undergraduate business school who exhibit Andrew’s outstanding qualities, including academic and athletic achievement, leadership and vision. Traditionally, two Awards are given each year, and each Award takes the form of a cash gift in the amount of $2500. To be used to defray tuition or work-study expenses, for a special research project, or to fund study abroad.

Winners of the Award are selected based on a short application, an essay and a faculty recommendation. Please visit our web site at for further information.
