The information session for the Tunisia and the MENA Region Study Abroad Program (taking place March 9-17 2013) will take place on Friday, November 2, 4- 6 PM, in Duquès 258.

Our series will include, but are not limited to, topics such as African Banking, International Finance, Micro-Finance, SME, Multinational companies, and Diaspora Trade & Investments.

Are you interested in China? Take part in a terrific opportunity to develop relationships with Chinese students from Nanjing University and Fudan University by acting as a Peer Mentor for the Winter Program in DC for Chinese Students from January 23 to February 12. Peer Mentors will be granted free attendance to Winter Program events such as a WASHINGTON WIZARDS BASKETBALL GAME with a tour of the Verizon Center facility and an all you can eat buffet before the game, a trip to Baltimore, game nights, and a movie night. The position will require approximately 10 hours per week of engagement with Chinese students. Many of the sessions will include free lunch.

awareness of the nature and urgency of key fiscal challenges
threatening to America’s future and to accelerate action on them.
Their upcoming event, Post Election: The Fiscal Cliff and Beyond, is a
forum aimed to discuss what it really means for the United States to
go over the Fiscal Cliff and the urgency of the issue. Participants,
such as Alan Greenspan, will speak on the consequences of inaction,
provide their perspectives on the outcome of the election, and discuss
a fiscal policy agenda. Participants will also make recommendations
for the President and incoming members of Congress.

What is the EDENS smART Retail Challenge? EDENS wants to discover both new talent and new retail ideas and innovations among the best and brightest new minds from the country’s top colleges. This year we are introducing a retail challenge where students will come up with a retail store idea and then pitch it to us. $2,500 Scholarship Awards Available!
The Andrew Stergiopoulos Foundation, in collaboration with the faculty and administration of The George Washington University, is currently accepting applications for the 2013 Andrew Stergiopoulos Scholarship Award. Each year, the awards are given to students in the sophomore and junior classes of GWSB who exhibit Andrew’s outstanding qualities, including academic and athletic achievement, leadership,and vision. Traditionally, one or two awards are given each year. Each award takes the form of a cash gift in the amount of $2500. Award proceeds are to be used to defray tuition or work-study expenses, for a special research project, or to fund study abroad.
Winners of the award are selected based on a short application, an essay, and a faculty recommendation. The award and the application process are described in greater detail in our website: www.Sterg.org. For the 2013 awards, application materials must be received by the Foundation no later than February 15, 2013. Recipients of the award will be invited to attend a luncheon or dinner celebrating Fellowship Scholarships at The George Washington University.
