Congratulations to the above pictured GW Capitol Advertising club who placed first in the District 2 regional competition for the American Advertising Federation National Student Advertising Competition.
This past weekend a team of GWSB students traveled to New York to compete in the District 2 regional competition for the American Advertising Federation National Student Advertising Competition. GW teams have competed in the competition for the past 25 years and have won districts four out of the past five years. Students who make up the GW team are part of the Capitol Advertising club, lead by faculty adviser Lynda Maddox and the Advanced Advertising Campaigns and Integrated Marketing Communication Planning courses taught by Gina Myers.
"After watching the Capitol Ads presentation, I completely understand why they took first place at regionals" said Betsy Smith, Executive Coordinator for Undergraduate Programs. "As someone in their key demographic, the campaign absolutely resonated with me! Both the content and presentation quality were phenomenal, and we should expect big things from this group at the national competition!"
Best of luck to the team as they travel to Orlando in June to compete in the national finals.
