Georgetown University: Business Strategy Challenge

A case competition will be held at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business in February 2006. "The Business Strategy Challenge," will focus on providing strategic solutions to non-profit organizations. Dates for the competition are February 9 - 11.

There is room in the program for approximately a dozen teams. Teams will be chosen based on the order in which they reply. (If you have previously signaled an interest in the competition, please confirm that interest with a follow-up e-mail.) Please direct inquiries and plans to attend to either of the following two student directors of the competition:

Moving Day!

The time is here! Undergraduate Programs will move to Duques Hall in the coming weeks and we look forward to having you stopping by before the end of the semester. On December 8th the Undergraduate Dean’s Office will move to Duques 455 and on December 14th the Advising Center will move to Duques 456. The Undergraduate Business Career Center will be in Duques 551.

The Advising Center will not be taking appointments from Friday, 12/9 through Friday, 12/16 in order to pack.

Real Estate Associate

America's largest preservation organization is seeking an individual with 1 years experience in real estate or finance for the position of Real Estate Associate. Starting salary range is $40,000. to $50,000 with an opportunity for marked increases. Reporting directly to the Director of Real Estate, the Associate will conduct and oversee land acquisition activities. The right candidate must be able to identify project scope, formulate acquisition strategies, develop budgets, negotiate purchases, secure funding from public grant sources, conduct due diligence, and develop and implement property exit strategies. Knowledge of many disciplines must be developed and refined, including negotiation, finance, real estate and tax law, grant process management, land conservation principles and techniques, and public presentations. The right candidate will be capable of working within tight deadlines, willing to travel, possess confidence, maturity, require little supervision, and be a creative problem-solver.

Mervis Diamond Importers is looking for a full-time accountant to work in accounts payable in their Tyson's Corner Office.
