New York Trip – Trip Details
Any university's strength comes from two primary sources: its human and physical resources. In the spirit of the former, the School of Business annually plans a trip to New York City in effort to expose students to the valuable opportunities within the business culture. The trip's content is threefold:

The trip is an opportunity for students to gain experience doing business in New York City. In conjunction with the career center, GWSB will offer a crash course in networking prior to the trip. A session with GW alums provides students the opportunity to polish their communication skills, and to foster relationships with individuals they may want to call upon in the future.

Students are given the opportunity to attend either a marketing or finance oriented trip. Companies such as Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers, The NBA, and Condé Nast have hosted our students. Kindly they have imparted valuable information about their industry and its job opportunities.

New York City is a place like no other. While a lifetime is required to see it all- the trip connects students to the elements of the city that are most relevant to their studies and potential careers. The trip is wholly designed with the past, present and future of the University in mind. It is essential to connect students to their Alumni community and the business settings in they will one day enjoy success. This experience can only be a catalyst for the growth of excellence, maturity and achievement in our student body well into the future.
