Interested in becoming a Business Council Officer?
There are many opportunities for undergraduates to get involved with the business council, the most direct way being to serve as an officer. No matter your what your interests are, there is an officer position for you! Elected and appointed officer positions are listed below (with responsibilities).

Elected Officer Positions
President- oversee meetings, liason to the Office of Undergraduate Programs and other GWSB stakeholders.
Executive Vice President- coordinate officer meetings and contact with member organizations.
Secretary- maintain calendar and meeting minutes.

Appointed Officer Positions
VP Academic Development- create new academic initiatives and manage the Business Council Awards Program.
VP Career Services-
create new professional initiatives and manage the Business Council Shadow Program.
VP Community Service-
create initiatives to advance undergraduate involvement in the surrounding community.
VP Public Relations-
dissiminate information of Business Council events to appropriate audiences.
VP Finance-
manage fundraising efforts and the budget; oversee expenditures.
VP Social Activity-
create initiatives to foster undergraduate community spirit, plan annual social events.
VP Technology
- maintain website and blog.

Application for Appointed Positions-2009

    • 2009 Officer Application Timeline
        • Wednesday, February 18th: Applications for Elected Positions are due in Duques 455 by 5:00 PM.
        • Friday, February 20th : Verified candidates must send in picture and platform to bcouncil@gwu.edu by 5PM
        • Tuesday, March 3rd to Wednesday , March 4th : Voting takes place through an online ballot.
        • Friday, February 27th: Applications due for Appointed (VP) Positions
        • Thursday, March 12th to Friday, March 27th : Interviews held for appointed positions
