GWSB Paris Business Program

In the fall of each Academic Year, a select group of GW School of Business students have the opportunity to study in Paris for the semester. The business courses are taught by GW faculty members and students also participate in site visits to a range of companies in Paris.

Location: Based at Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Science Po)

When: Fall semester only

Course options:
BADM 3101 – Human Resource Management*
BADM 3401- Basic Marketing Management*
BADM 3501 – Financial Management*
2 electives out of 3 options: History of Paris, EU Economies, French language

* = required course
Please note: all classes count towards the GW GPA.

Please note: BADM 3101, 3401, and 3501 are required courses for the GW Paris program; students who take these classes at GW will be disqualified from the GW Paris application process.

Program components:
• Corporate site visits to some of France’s most reputable companies. Past visits have included: COGEMA, The Four Seasons, L'Oreal, Moet et Chandon, and Pfizer
• Courses are taught in English.
• Students are housed in apartments in the Latin Quarter.
• Sciences Po, located in the heart of Paris on the Left Bank, is one of Europe’s most distinguished universities. This urban campus is comprised of 17th and 18th century mansions in Paris’ 7th Arrondisement. The Louvre, Notre Dame, Saint Germain, ministries, embassies, corporate headquarters, and the Assemblee Nationale are all nearby. Sciences Po prepares students to pursue future careers in areas such as business administration and public administration. About 1,500 of the 5,000 students at Sciences Po are from abroad. GW students have access to Sciences Po facilities.
