Florence, Italy - Kent State University

Kent State University's Florence program is another noteworthy study abroad program available for GWSB students. Classes are offered by Kent State University in Florence and take place in the newly-renovated Palazzo dei Cerchi. The program offers a variety of classes including history, geography, philosophy, politics, art, music, theatre and language. In addition each student is required to take an Italian language course.

Classes are scheduled from Monday through Thursday to allow students to travel on weekends when no field trips are scheduled. Besides regular classes students will participate in co-curricular activities to enhance their experience while in Florence. Previous field trips have included Rome, Venice and Mantova.
