Bio and Research:

Dr. Davidson joined Mount St. Mary's University as a full-time faculty member in 1991. He continues to teach summer courses as an adjunct faculty member at both George Washington University and American University.

Dr. Davidson's research and writing focus on the related subjects of corporate social responsibility, business ethics, and the intersection of business, government, and the civil society. He is the author of two books, Selling Sin (two editions) and The Moral Dimension of Marketing, as well as a considerable number of book chapters and published papers. His current work examines the nature and status of corporate social responsibility in India and China.

Dr. Davidson spent the first thirty years of his working career as an executive in the retailing industry including twenty years as the CEO of a women's apparel firm. He has been an active member of the International Association for Business and Society since its founding in 1990.
