The Doctoral Program in Business Administration

The doctoral program in Business Administration prepares students for full-time careers as business academics. Working with a distinguished faculty, students develop expertise in research and scholarship and learn to contribute as vital members of a dynamic community of scholars. Graduates aspire to faculty appointments at internationally recognized business schools, and plan to balance teaching and active research.

In the first phase of the program, students complete doctoral level coursework in economics, philosophy, statistics, research methods, and a selected field of study. Later, students demonstrate research excellence in a specific area through comprehensive examinations. And finally, they conduct original research and present dissertations under the direction of a faculty committee.
