GW’s School of Business offers students, faculty, and community members the chance to meet and talk with some of the most experienced professionals in their fields.

Warren Brown, the founder of CakeLove and host of Sugar Rush, delivered the keynote address during the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) luncheon hosted at GW by GW’s Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence (CFEE). Brown completed his graduate studies at The George Washington University in 1998 with a Juris Doctor and a master’s in Public Health. In 2000 he left his career as a lawyer to start a business. Armed with a credit card and a sense that people wanted better cake, he founded CakeLove.

Frederick W. Smith is chairman, president and chief executive officer of FedEx Corporation, a $31-billion global transportation and logistics company. Mr. Smith gave the keynote address at the Opening Ceremony for the new home of the GW School of Business. His speech was entitled “Going with the Flow: How to Succeed in a Macro-trend Environment“

As the 2005-2006 Maxon Lecturer, N. R. Narayana Murthy, Chairman of the Board and Chief Mentor of Infosys Technologies Limited, visited GW on February 6, 2006. Mr. Murthy presented, “Good Corporate Governance – A checklist or a mindset?" Infosys Technologies is one of India’s leading technology consulting firms with operations in more than 15 countries.

On Friday, February 10, the George Washington University School of Business was honored to host Peru’s ambassador to the United States, his Excellency Eduardo Ferrero, who took part in the inaugural events at the recently-completed Duquès Hall, the new home of the School of Business.
