Kevin May was born in Washington DC and raised in the greater metropolitan area. He is a lifelong fan of all things DC (especially the Redskins) so having the chance to culminate his studies at GW is a dream come true. Kevin received his BBA in Operations and Information Technology from the College of William and Mary. He went on to obtain a Master of Science in Electronic Commerce from George Mason University with a concentration in Management.
Kevin joined a local startup in 2004 as employee #2, working out of a friend's house. He helped grow
the business to the point of reaching a Washington Business Journal top 25 ranking of Washington DC
Interactive Agencies. He started his own New Media Strategy consulting firm in 2009. He now serves
as a doctoral fellow at The George Washington University School of Business in the Department of
Management, focusing on Entrepreneurship.
Kevin is in his first year at GW, so still narrowing his research focus. He has a great interest in Poland
and the former Soviet Union, in addition New Media. He hopes to perform entrepreneurial research
which incorporates these topics, starting with an exploratory study of Strategic Alliances between
Entrepreneurs in the US and Interactive Agencies in Poland.
