International Education & Programs is pleased to offer a variety of programming throughout the academic year for international students to enrich their academic and cultural experience.
The George Washington University is strategically placed in the heart of DC. To take advantage of its location and well-known neighbors, International Education & Programs periodically organizes briefings and tours to places of interest in DC. Past events have included briefings at the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, tours of the White House and Capitol Building, and urban hikes around major DC sites.
Each November, the Department of State in conjunction with the Department of Education promotes International Education Week as an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. In honor of the week, GWSB graduate programs organize faculty lectures, symposiums, and an international photo contest all themed around international education.
All incoming graduate international students in the School of Business are invited to attend International Student Institute organized at the start of each semester. Incoming students will be notified via email about orientation dates and times in order to RSVP.
