Mentoring Programs

The GW Tourism Alumni Network (GWTAN) has teamed up with GW Tourism for Tomorrow, the MTA student-led organization, to offer mentoring opportunities to students in the GW Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management. GWTAN will act as an agent to connect each interested student with an alumnus in his or her chosen career field. Once matched, the student and alumnus are responsible for the mentor/mentee relationship. We hope that students and alumni alike will find the experience to be rewarding, and we welcome your feedback.

Students, would you like to be matched with a mentor? Here's what to do:

  • Review the Mentoring Guidelines document.
  • Click the link below to fill out the Mentee Profile form, which will be sent to GWTAN. Be sure to provide relevant information about yourself, such as: your current degree program and concentration, previous industry experience, and career goals.
  • GWTAN will review your profile and interests and match you with an appropriate mentor. GWTAN will notify you when a mentor has been identified.
  • Your prospective mentor will contact you to formalize the relationship.
