The World Executive MBA (WExMBA) program is designed as a niche educational experience. The curriculum and the delivery format are unique in offering top MBA programs to those who cannot afford to take time off from their current commitments but who are committed to becoming true global business leaders.
The program is targeted to professionals and executives with at least 5 years of work experience. It is marketed to both established and future leaders from around the world. Geographic, economic and industrial diversity is one of our goals when establishing each class. Students will come from various businesses and areas of functional expertise, from large multinational corporations to small businesses; from government entities to private practices; and from national associations to small non-profits. The diversity in the class will lead to a dynamic learning environment where participants benefit from shared experiences and new perspectives.
ONE YEAR PROGRAM
The duration of the WExMBA program is one year in length. A hybrid model of residencies and distance education will be utilized for the delivery of the material. The distance component of on-line coursework will be synchronized with the on-campus offerings of the courses from our other MBA programs, including the newly developed Global MBA curriculum and the on-campus Executive MBA program.
The courses that require class discussion and face-to-face interaction will be taught during the residencies. These residencies will include classroom instruction and practical training, site visits, and discussions with country managers about market-specific issues and challenges. The international residencies will be project based. The program will partner with local organizations to provide students experiential learning opportunities. GW faculty will team up with local colleagues in a team-teaching format wherever possible.
Our objective is to offer a truly global program exposing the students to the business practices of the major economies in both developed and developing regions of the world. Participants will be able to:
To increase practical relevance, the program calls for close collaboration with businesses and industry in various countries. The industry projects will expose the students to practical problem solving and will add to their experience.
