In the Professional MBA Program, you can design your own course schedule to meet your professional and personal needs. Work at your own pace, and choose the Flex Option or the Accelerated Option to complete 24 hours of core courses and 24 hours of elective courses.

Elective Courses

(8 courses, 24 credits)

Choose from any 200-level elective courses offered by a School of Business department: Accounting, Decision Sciences, Finance, Information Systems and Technology Management, International Business, Marketing, Management, Strategic Management and Public Policy, and Tourism Studies. You may complete up to six credit hours outside the School of Business.

Program Format

Under the Flex Option, you take one, two, or three courses per semester at times convenient for you. Most classes are offered weeknights between 5 and 10 p.m. and on Saturdays between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The Accelerated Option (AMBA Program) enables you to complete your degree in two years or less in a tightly structured cohort environment. Choose between the Ashburn, Va. cohort (Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) or the Foggy Bottom cohort (Tuesdays from 6 to 10 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.) at the Foggy Bottom campus. Accelerated M.B.A. Program 2-Year Schedule

The first year is a cohort format with a set schedule. Students attend a weekend residency prior to the start of the AMBA Program. The second year is a sample of how you may choose to tailor your electives.
