Admission to the Ph.D. Program is highly competitive. The Committee on Doctoral Studies reviews between 250 and 350 applications each year; 10 to 15 percent of applicants are admitted.
Minimally, an applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related major. Although not required, most successful applicants hold at least one master’s degree. In general, an admitted applicant shows (1) high potential for successful pursuit of an academic or similar career within the chosen field; and (2) a high probability of successfully completing the program.
For more information, see the Ph.D. Handbook (77KB PDF).
Apply to the Ph.D. program online. Specify the degree (Ph.D.), field of study (Business Administration), and concentration within field.
Deadline: January 15
Completed applications and all required credentials must arrive by January 15 for consideration for enrollment in the following Fall semester. No exceptions.
