Tuition & Financial Aid

Cost of Tuition

Currently, tuition for both the campus and the distance learning modes is $1,118 per credit hour not including a student activities fee of no more than $15/semester, a $100 graduation application fee, and an optional $50 library fee.* A good estimate for the entire program is $40,000, including books and fees. Distance students need to add airfare and hotel rates for the two-day orientation and the five-day residency week.

3rd Party Payment Plans

Students can elect to participate in 3rd party billing, where a sponsor, government agency, military branch, or company is paying your tuition bill. 3rd party billing authorization documents should be submitted by the third week of the semester. The University does not accept sponsorship documentation that is contingent upon grades received for course work. You are responsible for all tuition and fees not covered by your sponsor.

Loans

The Office of Student Financial Assistance (OSFA) offers financial aid in the form of Federal Stafford, Graduate PLUS, and alternative loans to students who have been admitted into a graduate program at The George Washington University. OSFA processes and distributes the loans and also serves as a contact point for veterans. For a description of the loan programs, as well as an overview of applying for a loan, please visit OSFA’s website.

Payment Plans

The George Washington University offers a monthly payment plan through ECSI. The monthly billing plan allows payments to be spread over up to five months for each semester. Details on this payment option are available on the web at http://colonialcentral.gwu.edu/billing/paying.

Scholarships

The School of Business offers a limited number of scholarships to students applying for the Master of Science in Project Management program. These scholarships usually cover one or two courses during the entire program, so students are encouraged to seek outside funding assistance as well. All applicants into the program are automatically considered for the departmental scholarships.

Fellowships

The Office of Graduate Student Assistantships and Fellowships provides general information and a wide variety of assistance with graduate support opportunities. For more information on job and fellowship opportunities, please visit its website.
