How long is the EMBA program?
Time to degree — 21 months (18 months of instruction with a summer break in between the first and second years)
What is the format/delivery?
- One full class day each week (8 hours) on alternating Fridays & Saturdays
- 21 courses delivered in segments of varying lengths (4-week, 6-week, and 8-week segments) with no more than two segments delivered at any one time, combining quantitative and qualitative subject matter whenever possible
- 3 residencies — two 1 week domestic residencies and one 2 week, multi-city, international residency
What are the admissions requirements?
- Undergraduate degree
- Organizational experience of 10 years of more with 5 years or more in a managerial capacity strongly preferred
- A note on the GMAT: A competitive score on the GMAT will be required for prospective EMBA students who do not have the requisite years/type of work experience but who exhibit exemplary undergraduate academic preparation and possess otherwise exceptional talents
What are the application deadlines?
- Rolling admissions (however, only one cohort starting per year in the fall term – classes start mid August)
- Full Application due no later than May 15
What is the price of the program?
- $74,000 all inclusive (subject to change)
- Includes all instructional materials (i.e. textbooks, cases and course-specific software)
- Includes catering for breakfast, lunch, and breaks on class days
- Includes on-site parking
- Includes all costs, including airfare, hotel accommodations and meals for residencies
Can I focus on a specific field of expertise?
The theme of the EMBA program is strategy and leadership, and the curriculum is cohort based from start to finish
The first year of the program focuses on the MBA core, leadership, and teambuilding. The second year approaches strategy topics in finance, marketing, corporate politics, and IT. Additional topics that are explored include entrepreneurship & new venture creation, the ethical and legal aspects of business, and executive skills such as communication and negotiation. The program closes with a capstone course in strategy formulation and implementation.
