  • An undergraduate degree.
  • Organizational experience of ten years or more, with five years or more in a managerial capacity strongly preferred.

Preliminary Application

The Preliminary Application (actually a part of the Full Application) provides interested individuals with an opportunity to receive preliminary feedback from our Admissions Committee before having to complete the entire application by obtaining the necessary supporting documentation. Pre-applicants' credentials are evaluated to determine whether they are likely to be competitive with the broader applicant pool.

Use of the Preliminary Application assists potential candidates in deciding if it is appropriate to approach their employers regarding the necessary Organizational Commitment Form and/or possible financial support. Information provided is held in strict confidence. Applicants' employers will not be notified.

Early submission of the preliminary application is strongly encouraged. An interview with an alumnus of the Executive MBA Program is required during this preliminary phase of the application process.

Elements of the preliminary application include:

  • Personal Data Form (with employment profile and educational history)
  • Resume
  • Statement of Intent
  • Preliminary interview (with an alumnus in your area)
  • $60 assessment fee

Full Application

If the preliminary application yields a favorable response, the candidate is encouraged to pursue full admission to the Executive MBA program by completing the application process. At this time, the candidate will be asked to provide all supporting documentation including:

  • Three letters of Evaluation
  • Transcripts from each post-secondary institution attended
  • Organizational Commitment Form

In addition, a final interview will be required with a member of the Executive MBA leadership team from the George Washington University.

Applications are considered complete when all of the required materials have been received. Full applications are reviewed upon completion and decisions are made soon after. Candidates are notified immediately, and the program begins in mid-August.
