AMBA International Residency in Chile
August 17-24, 2008
The Program
The international residency consists of a five-day program
of conferences and visits to multinational and local companies.
Through these visits and conferences, students will gain an understanding
of macroeconomic policies, the business environment and assess the
future outlook for this country. The goal of the visit is to learn
about strategies of multinational and local firms and to integrate
topics covered in the MBAD 240 class and other international business
courses.
In addition to the five-day city visit, the program
will offer a two-day visit to Chile’s famous central valley
farming communities, wineries, and mining sector- the backbone of
the country’s export sector.
The University of
Chile will be the host for the GW program and most of the conferences
will take place at its downtown campus. The group will travel to
company visits and on transportation by the University of Chile.
